Cut:

A--4 medium, 4 background
B--4 dark, 4 background
C--4 background
D--2--dark
E--2 darl

Backing: 8 1/2" x 71/2"
Batting--very thin, or even none at all--7" x 7"

Press after every step, or as you sew seams.

Step One: Take the 8 triangles from template A and assemble as shown.

Step Two: Take the 4 dark and 4 background traingles from template B and assemble as shown. This makes four units.
Step Three: Take the units from Step Two and Two of the Template C Strips, and assemble as shown. This makes two units.
Step Four: Assemble the previously made units as shown.
Step Four: Add the Borders as shown.

To finish, center the batt and the top on the backing. You can hand quilt, machine quilt, or tie off for a vintage look.
When finished with that, fold the backing up and around to the top. Fold raw edges under, pin down, and sew the hem around.
