Hitty Girls Travel Doll #2

Hitty Columbia
We hope you enjoy the chronicles of Hitty Columbia's adventures!

March 24, 2003
It is lovely here in spring, in the foothills of the Rockies. We enjoy a beautiful view of the snow-capped peaks while the balmy air encourages the flowers, and the trees begin to bud while there is still snow from our last fall. What Hitty would wish to leave such a delightful home? Well....the truth is, I would! It can't be helped. I was born with a yearning for travel flowing through my woolen stuffing, and I long to meet new people, see new sights, and to sleep in a new place, (or perhaps under the stars!) every night.

Those who are as small as I are very lucky indeed. We are patient and willing and don't mind slow travel, and there are always those kindly friends who will welcome such a small, easily-accomodated guest. And the USPS provides marvelously affordable rates for the travel of very tiny people such as myself!

Oh my, it all comes together now! I MUST embark upon my voyage as soon as it can be arranged; I can hardly stay my excitement long enough for the planning of it all! But patience is a virtue most Hittys possess, when we wish it, and everything must be in just the right order before I can depart with a mind free to enjoy my tour. The first thing to do is to arrange my accomodations....
