Like last year, for the purposes
of our swap a 'Bitty' will be defined
as a jointed, all-wood Hitty-type doll between 3 and 4.5 inches tall,
of
any wood. Bitty may have a varnished, or a fully-painted surface. She
may be elastic, wire, or peg jointed. This year's bitty may be a boy,
girl, or Hitty bitty.
Our 2007 theme will be:
THE GARDEN FAIRY COSTUME PAGEANT
Here's how it works. This year, each participant will create a boy, girl, or Hitty bitty, just like the last two years. Check out our previous swaps: 2005 and 2006
Then for the fun part! Each participant creates a Garden Fairy Costume for bitty to wear to the pageant! Bitty should be dressed in a costume reflecting your idea of a garden fairy, with just two criteria. First, it must be removable like normal bitty clothes, so they can dress appropriately for their later adventures. Second, it must have wings! Please do not include any extras in this swap, unless the items are part of the costume.
This year's exchange will be a centralized swap, so return postage must be included with your swap. A centralized swap means that all the bittys will then be sent to me for, what else? The Garden Fairy Costume Pageant! After participating in the pageant and posing for a group photograph, each bitty will fly into a new box and and off to surprise the recipient.
