Some of the chapters are very short, and will be combined with a longer chapter.
Chapter One Activity
Introduce
your Doll for this book. It could be Tottie, Apple, Birdie, or Mr. Plantagenet.
Or all of them! Or, it could be a Hitty who is standing in for one of these
figures.
Chapter Two Activity
Make a little
feather broom. I suspect this may be a feather duster, and not an actual
broom.
Chapter Three Activity
Make Darner!
He is made from clipped wool and pipe cleaners. I would
substitute a toothpick for the darning needle spine.
Chapter Four & Five Activity
Make a Patchwork
quilt like the one that Mother made for Apple.
Chapter Six Activity
Find a printie
sampler and frame it for the dollhouse.
Chapter Seven Activity
Wouldn't the
dolls enjoy a lunch like the one Emily and Charlotte enjoyed
with Mrs. Innisfree? It is a fish dish, mashed potatoes, peas, and a cherry
tart.

Take a museum
picture of Tottie and/or her friends on display in the museum.
Chapter Ten & Eleven Activity
Make
Darner his own kennel, with chopped hay to lay on.

Tottie needs
a beret like the ones Emily and Charlotte wear to the museum!

Make Tottie
a warm red woolen cloak.

Decorate a doll's
house for Christmas with a tree and a paperchain.
