Michelle

Dear Hittygirls, I am happy to report that I have arrived safely in the
state of Montana! I was welcomed warmly by Michelle del Valle and the
Big Sky Hitty's! I was amazed to see the beauty of this place! I
thought I was in a snow globe! It's very beautiful but also very
cold! I'm afraid I didn't arrive with the proper clothing so Michelle
is running around in a tizzy trying to find something for me to make me
more comfortable. I was also greeted by michelle's pretty little
niece. Her name is Isabel and we bonded immediately! Michelle was able
to take some pictures but she told me that her husband has once again
gone hunting with the camera so pics will have to be posted either
tonight or tomorrow.

Hugs To Everyone!

Hello again ladies! I am so excited! Michelle is making new coats
for all of us Hittys! She is using the free pattern from Pauline.
Thanks Pauline! Ever since I arrived, I have been wanting to go
outside and make a snowman! However, I arrived with only my dress so
Michelle has been spending the day sewing. All of us Hittys get to
choose our colors. I have chosen a beautiful rose color. I think it
goes best with the pink shades in my dress. Photos are coming soon!

Hugs!

Coats for everyone!
So many colors to choose from!

I Choose Rose!
What a lovely color!

I love the white trim!
Doesn't this color go great with my dress?

Dear Hittyfield Hittys, I am trying to stay warm but it's not easy. It was 7 degrees today!!! The coats are almost done but I don't think we can wait for the hats! I, as well as the Big Sky Hitty's are getting impatient. I think maybe tomorrow Michelle might let us go out if we behave ourselves and ask real nicely. Joey might come too. He's sooo cute!

Hugs!
Hitty P.

Dear Hitty girls, A wonderful day was had by all! I thought it
couldn't get any colder than yesterday. It was a freezing 7
degrees! Today I woke up to 7 degrees below zero! I thought
Michelle surely wouldn't let us Hittys venture outside in this
weather. Especially without our hats! The only one who had a hat
was Hitty Fifer. Hitty Fifer and I hit it off from the get go.
She's a lovely girl! We have been spending lots of time together
helping Michelle sew the coats, playing with the cats decorating for
Christmas and all sorts of fun things! Well, after the final coat
was finished, I was surprised to hear Michelle announce to all, that
we could go out and play in the snow! So we all put on our new
coats and ran outside to play. Joey brought the sled out and I was
the first to ride. Hitty Ingeborg had her turn as well. What fun
it was sliding down the hills! We tried to make a snowman but the
snow was just too powdery! Great fun was had by all until Joey
decided to throw a snowball at me! It smashed right on my head. At
first it was all in fun and we all had a good laugh until he pushed
me down in the snow! All the girls began to scream at Joey to stop
for fear my beautiful new coat would be ruined! Luckily, Hitty
Fifer grabed hold of Joey and shoved him in the snow. I got up and
we began burying him. I guess it was a good thing that Michelle
came out. She must have been curious when she heard all the
commotion going on out front. I suppose Joey would be buryed up to
his ears if she didn't! Michelle was very upset to say the least!
Joey, Hitty Fifer and I all got put on a time-out. I didn't expect
to get into trouble today but sometimes it's hard to avoid when
there is a mischievous boy around. Well, to make a long story
short, Joey Finally apologized to me and no one had any hard
feelings. The day ended with a cup of hot cocoa for everyone as we
sat around a roaring hot fire and sang Christmas Carols! Please go
see the pictures of todays adventures in the November album.

Yours Truly!

Hello again Ladies! Today Hitty Brown and I got to help Michelle
Wallpaper the Big Sky Hitty's new home! Only the Living room is ready
for paper. The other rooms still need flooring. It was hard work but
I enjoyed it very much! I'm looking forward to decorating the new
Christmas tree tomorrow! Well, I'd better be off to bed. It's late
and I am a bit sleepy. If you would like to see the wallpaper it's in
the December album.

Good Night!

Hitty Pearl S. Buck Helping Wallpaper

Dear ladies, after a cup of tea with Auntie Hitty I think I feel
more refreshed. I will try to write about my day once more.

Today, we finished our wallpapering job in the living room of the
Big Sky Hitty's new home. Joey finally arrived and said he could
finish the job, so Auntie Hitty, Hitty Brown and I sat down with
kitty to take a short break before we ventured out to the garage to
search for the Christmas ornaments. After about a half hour or so,
we came back to see how Joey was doing. To our surprise, what we
found was not at all what we expected! Poor little kitty was
wallpapered to the wall! Suddenly I heard a loud thump behind me.
I turned to see what it was and low and behold, I found Auntie Hitty
had fainted! Quickly I tried to revive her with smelling salts.
Slowly, she began to come around. When she was able to sit up,
Auntie Hitty hollered, "WHERE IS JOEY?!" We searched all through
the house and finally found him hiding behind the sofa. My oh my,
was Auntie Hitty upset! She imediately grabbed Joey by the ear and
made him stand in the corner for quite some time.

I'm sorry to say the tree decorating was postponed until tomorrow
but we had a grand time at the theater watching "Happy Feet" I sat
by Bryce and he shared his popcorn with me. It was a great way to
end the day! =) Now I shall try to send this again. Hope it works
this time!

Yours truely,
Hitty Pearl S. Buck.

Sitting With Bryce

Dear Friends, Today we went to Montana's Museum of the Rockies!.
There were so many wonderful things to see I just don't know where
to begin! Right as you walk up to the Museum there is a HUGE T
Rex! Bryce stood below it so we could all see just how big it is.
Just inside, at the front desk, I had my picture taken with Dinos
that were more my size. As we continued, there was a Christmas tree
decorated Native American style. The whole tree was done by some
local school children. I was sure to take pictures of the
description so you can read the details about it. There were many
different catagories. There was a section for American History,
American indians, dinosaurs and the skull exhibit! I was allowed to
photograph everything except the Indian section because the indians
consider it very sacred. I think my favorite part was in American
history. There was a disply case with early dolls! I was able to
communicate with them for a while before we moved on. They were so
happy to see another doll. They have been in that case for such a
long time. They said it was wonderful to see another doll face
looking back at them instead of a human face for a change. They are
very proud to be in a museum and asked if I could come back and
visit some time. I posted all the pictures in the December album
except the skull exhibit because I went over my limit of space. I
hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed being there.

Sincerely,
Hitty Peal S. Buck

Dear friends, I have been having such a wonderful time with the del
Valle's and the Big Sky Hitty's here in Montana! We were hoping to
see Old Faithful this week but due to the weather conditions this
time of year, only snowmobiles are allowed in. Still, I had a
wonderful time today decorating the Christmas tree! I made friends
with the Gingerbread man, was in aw over the cloisonné ornaments and
was able to hold baby Jesus at the nativity seen! Afterward, I had
Michelle and all the Big Sky Hittys gather round while I opened each
hostess gift for them to decide which two to choose. Well, they
couldn't all agree and are still squabbling this very minute as I
write this email. I decided to stuff my ears with cotton so I could
concentrate! Hopefully tomorrow they can all come to some sort of
agreement.

Later today, Auntie Hitty took me aside to have a little lady to
lady talk about Joey. She has been very concern about his behavior
lately and isists that he is usually a very well mannered boy. He
has only been acting naughty since the day I arrived! She finally
talked to him and discovered that he has a crush on me! "Not to
worry!" she says. "Why, when I was a girl the very same thing
happened to me. There was a boy named Albert Donavin and he used to
sit behind me in Mrs. Pruits class in the 3rd grade. He had me in
tears the way he would pull my braids and stick them in the ink
wells! Mrs. Pruit told me he had a crush on me. I just couldn't
understand how a boy could be so mean if he liked me." Sigh…Well, I
must say, I just can't understand boys either and I don't think I
ever will! I must admit, Joey has been acting a bit nicer since
Auntie had a talk with him. He actually smiled and said thankyou
when I passed him a crumpet at tea time. Hmmm, he is kinda cute.
Maybe he'll write after I leave.

Sincerely,
Hitty Pearl S. Buck
