Hitty Geneva's Visit to Happy and the Capital City Hittys

Page Two

Hitty G points to a plant
Geneva Grace assures her it is a grape hyacinth

They find the motherlode of hyacinths
How many can we dig up and save?

Are there enough, do you think?
I'm exhausted!

Watering in the new plants
This hose is heavy

I love these cute little flowers
Yes, and don't they look better here?

Wow, these fellows are tall
I never thought I'd see Meerkats in Richmond.

And they took me to Mexico
(Fooled ya, didn't I?)

There are no bluebonnets in Richmond
But there are lots of violets

These were so pretty, I picked some
They look good here, don't they?

Oh for goodness sake, Lilly
Stop showing off your socks!

In Happy's shared office
You won't believe what I found on the shelf

Surrounded by my many admirers

Hitty Geneva has been active in Richmond, practically to exhaustion, either
because we have dragged her hither and yon or because she insisted on
working along side of us. We thank her for her efforts to beautify our
yard, which sorely needed help. Her assistance with classes at school and
tireless efforts on the job were fully appreciated.

Her final weekend with her was made extra special as we welcomed a new Hitty
in our midst and had a special guest visitor. She fully expected to depart
on Monday, but after getting an emergency message that someone important
really wanted to meet her, she decided to postpone her stay by a day in
order to meet that individual - Hitty Rose. Hitty Rose has lived with
Happy's 6 year old granddaughter for more than two years, and when Merrin
heard that Hitty Geneva was here, she begged for Hitty Rose to be able to
meet this famous traveler. The meeting was arranged, and Hitty Genevea
returned to the Law Firm for the third time and introduced Hitty Rose to the
delights of office life. She also returned to the University of Richmond to
meet the class's only female and see what interesting and magical things
sometimes get left in the classroom.

After a final night's sleep in the guest quarters, Hitty Geneva said her
reluctant goodbyes to the still groggy Capital City Hitty's and re-entered
the box. Fortunately, she will be resting comfortably in said box for the
few days it will take for her to reach Gita, where she will surely be
entertained to the hilt. We miss her (she was the first thing I thought of
this morning) and she is always welcome to return.

Introcuding Hitty Violet to Geneva
It's not every day we welcome a new Hitty, and Geneva Grace was thrilled to be here for the occasion.

President Obama returns, just to meet Hitty Geneva Grace
This was so unexpected.

Official handshake moment
Hitty Geneva declares she will never wash this hand again.

They share a special moment holding the picture of Hitty Rose's Person
Geneva was pleased to meet the Person with whom Rose lives, even if only in a picture

They made one final shimmy up the office ficus to meet the money who remians where he ought to be - off Richard's back,

Are you sure we are at a University
Hitty Geneva meets magic she will take with her, but we know she leaves some behind with us.
