WT Hitty Arrives in Texas
Hitty Sara Guthrie, Marie & Shian
are glad to have another Cowboy in the house.
After a weekend in the post office, Traveling Cowboy William T Hitty arrived this morning in Austin, Texas, where everyone knows there are lots of cowboys!

After a weekend in the post office, Traveling Cowboy William T Hitty arrived this morning in Austin, Texas, where everyone knows there are lots of cowboys!
He was greeted by Shian, Hitty Marie, and Hitty Sara Guthrie who
are all in the midst of preparing for the Texas Hitty Event. They
suggested he plan to stay until October, but he explained he was on a
schedule, and although he would miss the event, he had an appointment
with a permanent home. They understood, and took him in to the library,
where he met more girls and watched a little tv.
Finally, WT went up to the Boys' Attic, where he met many new
friends. He was welcomed first by Cowboy Schoenhut, who presented him
with a real ten-gallon hat. He also met Captain Mercury, Sheriff
George, and Joe Bob. He was especially pleased to meet Harry Potter and
Robbie the Robot (who is out of the picture on the right). The Boys
were rather a relief to WT after all the girls he has met. He did enjoy
and admire the girls, but you know real cowboys don't get to close to
girls - they always need to ride off into the sunset alone, to catch
rustlers, wrangle cattle, or right wrongs!
I don't know for sure what the Boys have planned, but I know they
will take WT to meet some other Cowboys and Indians, and perhaps camp
under the stars. They have suggested he may need cooler clothes for the
Texas heat if they go outside, so we'll need to dig in the trunks.

After a long visit with Wilbur, Shian took WT to the Cowboy Group, to see where Wilbur will be living,
and meet the Cowboys and Indians. It is a very peaceful group, with cowboys and Indians from many eras who tell tales when the people aren't around.

WT left the HittyHouse today, and offered to help with the computer.
However, I found him admiring the HittyGirls homepage, so I sent him off to visit the Hickory House.

At the Hickory House, WT met Miss Austin Hickory, Hickory Tot, and Nut Baby.
They visited, and WT admired the compact design of the house. MAH was glad to hear about his travels, and told him it was a good thing
he was bunking with the Boys, since her house was limited in size! However, she explained that her house had the only kitchen in the community,
where Ms Ozarka Butternut is the chief cook and bottle washer for the whole crew.

Meeting Retired Sheriff Wilbut Nut
Today WT and HSG met retired Sheriff Wilbur Nut. He is retiring to the
Cowboy Group here in Austin, Old Lady Gambling
WT isn't sure dominos and bottle
water makes a gambling den.
WT and H Sarah Guthrie went off with me last evening to a Saturday Night Gambling adventure.
However, I don't think dominos, bottled water, and old ladies impressed them as high stakes gambling! Or even excessive partying.

A Trip to the Swimming Hole
WT enjoyed meeting so many cowboys and cowgirls, and all sorts of
Indians.
WT and Shian will be staying for a while to hear stories and visit,
while I brave the dentist's office tomorrow (they opted out of that trip!) and then work.
We're hoping for a few adventures - maybe even a swim soon to cool us all off!
