Waiting for the Train.
Early Saturday Morning Hitty Rosalie took me to a train station to go to Philadelphia. The Train is a marvelous mode of transport. We made the journey in 1 hour. This trip would have taken About a Day or a Day &a half by Stagecoach in my time . We arrived in Phila. and Took another Train called the Market-Frankford Elevated to 2nd street . We walked over to Arch Street to my Home. Today there is a nice courtyard next to my home were we took some photos. In the Gift shop we found a scale model of my home. I got my picture taken there too. Inside the house we were not permitted to take photos . Our Person was told this after snapping the photo of the upholstery tools. On the way back we stopped at Christ Church Which now has an Iron fence around it and benches to sit upon. It was a pleasant day and I was pleased to see so many people visiting my home. I brought backs several postcard of my home and the Flag to keep with me. Hitty Betsy Ross

Today was a lovely sunny day. Hitty Beth was chosen to take me to Washington's crossing State Park.
This is the site were our Commander in Chief George Washington made the perilious crossing of the Delaware River
with His troops on Christmas Eve . Today a small bridge crosses the river.
