A tradition for many hundreds of years, May Day Baskets are popular among children and meant to demonstrate the joy of gift giving.

The tradition of May Day begins with a basket or container brimming with flowers and  or small gifts. The May Day basket is usually quietly and secretly placed on the doorstep of a neighbor or loved one, demonstrating the gift of giving without receiving. Children and adults alike can participate in the joy of the holiday by making a special basket for a friend.

You are to create a Hitty size basket from any materials you choose, cloth, felt, wood, straw, polymer, or any other material you can think of.  Be creative.  Fill your basket with whatever your heart desires.  Flowers, candy or any Hitty size items.

Join the fun, this will be a guaranteed fun swap.....  After all every Hitty home deserves a May basket....
