Our Dolls
"I am a little wooden doll with a painted face and
a knob of painted hair on top of my wooden head. .." pg 9
" ...my dress was usually a little square with a hole for my head,
sewed together with a few awkward stitches and tied around the
middle with a bit of ribbon sash." pg 14

We know she was jointed  (pg 14) and 4" tall (pg 14).
But you should make your 'little country cousin' any way you want!

Do you like free?  If so, the Moderators of Hittygirls at Yahoogroups are
happy to announce we had enough in the budget to sponger a totally
free clothespin challenge!  Simply send your mailing address to JOC by
either using the link below, or contacting her privately, to receive
your packet.  Each packet will contain one old-fashioned clothespin,
a bit of fabric, and some sort of trim.  Fabrics and trims
may vary.  Free shipping!

Your challenge?  Simply turn your kit into Patty's doll!
You may use the fabric in the kit, or any of your own--your choice.
Once you have finished, please put your photo into the yahoogroups
photo album for Patty Reed's Doll Book discussion. Please please put
your name on the photo--no name, no chance to win!

Our Versions of Dollie

An Old Doll Became a Patty Reed Doll--This poor thing was languishing with broken joints and no clothing!
She was anxious to represent a Patty Reed doll. I made her about five years ago and considered her a major failure.
She loves her "new" joints and "new" outfit.
