Hitty’s
Royal Wedding Challenge
The
royal nuptials of Prince William and Catherine Middleton are soon upon
us and,
as Hitty has a penchant for inserting herself (and righteously so) into
any
occasion of import, The Wiregrass Hitties and Mad for the Farthing
Crowd
announce Hittygirls first ever:
~*~Royal
Wedding Challenge~*~
The
task? Design, execute and photograph
a hat worthy of Hitty’s attendance at the Royal Wedding. The challenge begins April 1, 2011 and all
photos should be placed in the “Royal Wedding” album no
later than Friday,
April 29th, 2011, the date of the ceremony at Westminster
Abbey.
Guidelines? Imagine
a chapeau slightly shy of Carmen
Miranda yet able to provoke envy in Hyacinth
Bucket…er….Bouquet – a hat that
will cause banks of cameras to swivel in Hitty’s direction, but,
of course, in
the “best of taste”. Here is a
top-notch
opportunity to use every bit of frippery hiding in the bottom of your
sewing
box – feathers, jewels, silks, sequins, ribbon!
The challenge is to create a hat, but if you are inspired,
please
consider dressing your Hitty in something equally divine.
Challenge,
not a contest. This is a photo
challenge and the fun is in the making and sharing, so no prizes will
be
offered.
