Souvenir Suggestions for YOUR Hitty Camp
Think 'real' camp to come up with some fun, inexpensive ideas
for great camp souvenirs!
Want to add even more fun to the souvenirs? Take photos of
the Campers making them in an Arts and Crafts day.
Souvenirs for Hitty camps or events can be hand made or purchased. You
will want to keep costs down by making inexpensive crafty items or purchasing
inexpensive items.

A simple summer frock made by the Hittys during their
'craft time'

Other simple crafts that can be used at craft time, ie.
necklaces, bracelets, beaded toys, drawings, etc.

In Maine we give a Maine State Quarter along with a printed
copy of the origin of the quarter, why that design was used (this
you can print off of the internet).

Postcards and/or brochures, maps of the places you visited.

Nature items found by the Hittys while on nature hikes,
pressed flowers, shells, beach pebbles with notation of what the
items are or where they were found.

Inexpensive items purchased from museums or gift shops,
our Hittys like to purchase Native American leather bead bracelets
(similar to friendship bracelets) at one of the museum shops we
visit, the Hittys then wear these bracelets as belts.

Hats, crocheted, knitted or purchased straw hats that have
been nicely decorated.

A CD of all of the pictures taken on the trip.

Macaroni necklace or macaroni art.

Hitty-scaled newspaper made into a pirate's hat.

Collect small rocks from a special location, glue them to
cardboard, and label with the date and place.

Take individual pictures of each camper.

A scarf with the Camp logo.
