All eight dolls were entered together as a set into the 'Human character/two or more' category in the master carver division at the Marion County Fair in Yellville, Arkansas. They took first place, and then went on to win 'Best In Show. There is also a cash prize, amount not yet known.

The dolls names from top left are Prudence in the orange and black check, Rayne in the brown sweater, Tessa Hitty in the middle, Gillian in the pink and white dress, Nettie in the red and white polka dotted dress. The bottom row, left to right-Miss Vickie in the two tone blue dress, Kizzy in the red and pink dress, and Ahn Ling in the red top and black pants. Nettie and Kizzy are black, Ahn Ling is Asian, Miss Vicki is my Vicki Lawrence look alike, Rayne is the only boy in the group. Gillian is entered in the Miss Doll World contest and Prudence is very old fashioned looking."--Connie
